Consequently, InOrder, The Health Systems Institute was established to work towards improving health system performances and health outcomes through academics, capacity building initiatives and translational research endeavours. It is a DSIR-recognized centre for evidence generation and evidence synthesis in domains of public health and related domains. InOrder is committed to expand its academic and capacity building activities in disciplines of medicine, public health, nursing, management and social sciences. It has active partnerships with global partners like ACCESS Health International and context-specific collaborations with donor agencies, UN bodies, international organizations, state governments and the government of India.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Manager, Capacity Building, with an excellent training and coordination background. He/She should have around 5 – 7 years of experience in the health sector with a specific focus on initiating and leading training / capacity building programs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent coordination skills and a proven track record of working with diverse teams for conducting training programs. This role involves conceptualizing, developing and strengthening the capacity building portfolio of InOrder and its collaborating partner ACCESS Health International.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conceptualize, develop and strengthen the capacity building portfolio of InOrder and its collaborating partner ACCESS Health International
  2. Coordinate training and capacity building programs of InOrder and its collaborating partner ACCESS Health International
  3. Coordinate with program and finance team for successful implementation of planned capacity building programs
  4. Provide technical support in writing proposals / reports / assessments related to capacity building and training programs
  5. Monitor the e-learning and executive programs
  6. Document training completion reports of programs as per the need
  7. Provide guidance to the team members on conducting training programs
  8. Liaise with donor agency / government on sponsored training programs and self-financed programs
  9. Ensure training sessions are held as per the plan in coordination with the resource persons and point persons of each training
  10. Record training sessions, store training resources, distribute training materials with the participants as and when needed
  11. Conduct pre and post assessments under the guidance of the Director
  12. Undertake any other assignment as given from time to time by the Director

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Public Health / Healthcare Administration or related discipline.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public health, capacity building, or a related sector. 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of public health principles, systems, and relevant challenges.
  • Proven experience in designing, managing, and evaluating capacity building projects.
  • Ability to coordinate and handle training programs independently under management guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform program development and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated coordination, planning, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in diverse and challenging environments.

NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT: 

The selected candidate shall be offered a three-year contract, with the possibility of extension, based on continued availability of funding and performance.
