Obesity is implicated in various non-communicable diseases (NCD). Obese people are at higher risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol that in turn lead to higher risk of cardiovascular diseases. Obese people tend to have higher prevalence sleeping disorders (obstructive sleep apnoea or OSA associated with excessive snoring and day time sleepiness). Non-alcoholic fatty liver incidence is higher in obese people.
