JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
KIIT-Deemed to be University and Affordable Quality Health (AQH) will undertake a commissioned implementation research project titled “Developing &implementing effective intervention delivery strategies of the Anemia Mukt Bharat program 2.0 to reduce prevalence of anemia amongst vulnerable populations in selected districts of India-An Implementation research study (PRAKASH): Precision-Driven Response for Anemia Control and Sustainable Health”. The study will be conducted in Kendujhar district of Odisha by the KIIT-DU with funding support of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. Affordable Quality Health (AQH) will provide implementation support to the PI and team.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate implementation of the research project under the guidance of the PI
- Facilitate conduction of periodic sero surveys in the target population in the study site
- Provide techno-managerial support in strategizing, implementing, organizing and monitoring project related activities in the study site
- Liaise with the state/district administration for successful implementation of the study
- Provide technical support to the field research team
- Provide hand-holding support to the district administration in implementation of AMB 2.0
- Document best practices, opportunities and bottlenecks in implementing AMB 2.0
- Monitor day to day implementation of the study protocol in the study site
- Develop presentations / scientific manuscripts and policy briefs as per the need of the project
- Undertake data analysis and report writing as per the need of the project
- Any other task as assigned by the PI for fulfilment of the project objectives
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Post Graduate in Public Health/ Nutrition /Pharmaceutical Sciences / Social Sciences/ Allied Health Sciences or related discipline with minimum 55% marks.
Candidates with PhD degree or relevant research experience and/or having peer-reviewed research publications will be given preference.
Familiarity with Odia language is essential.
Experience:
- Candidates with relevant past experience of at least five years will be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
- Coordination skills, negotiation skills, communication skills, writing skills, data analysis skills and capacity building skills.
NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT:
Purely contractual. The selected candidate shall be offered a twelve-month contract (may be extended / renewed, subject to the need of the project and performance of the candidate).
REPORTING TO: Prof. Bhuputra Panda, Professor and PI and Dr N Krishna Reddy, Director of AQH.
COMPENSATION: INR 10-12 LPA
