About Affordable Quality Health: Affordable Quality Health(AQH) is a not-for-profit entity registered under section 8 of Companies Act, 2013, established with an objective to undertake research, implementation and knowledge transfer in health systems, including process improvement and health care delivery in India. InOrder – The Health Systems Institute is the recognized academic and research wing of AQH that carries forward knowledge, databases and academic courses in model institutions of medicine, public health, nursing, management and social sciences.

JOB SUMMARY:

KIIT-Deemed to be University and Affordable Quality Health(AQH) will undertake a commissioned implementation research project titled “Developing &implementing effective intervention delivery strategies of the Anemia Mukt Bharat program 2.0 to reduce prevalence of anemia amongst vulnerable populations in selected districts of India-An Implementation research study (PRAKASH): Precision-Driven Response for Anemia Control and Sustainable Health”. The study will be conducted in Kendujhar district of Odisha by the KIIT-DU with funding support of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. Affordable Quality Health (AQH) will provide implementation support to the PI and team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing and tracking of sample population
  • Drawing / testing blood from the sample population
  • Preserving, transporting and coordinating testing of blood haemoglobin in sample population
  • Any other task as may be assigned by the PI from time to time for attainment of objectives

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) / Nursing / Allied Health with relevant past experience & phlebotomy. (Or)

12th in Science + Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) 

Familiarity with Odia language is essential. 

Experience: 

Candidates with three years of relevant experience& phlebotomy will be considered.

Skills and Competencies:

Blood sample drawing, haemoglobin testing skills, data analysis skills.

AGE LIMIT: Not exceeding 50 years (as of February 1, 2025)

NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT:

Purely contractual. The selected candidate shall be offered a twelve-month contract (may be extended / renewed, subject to the need of the project and performance of the candidate)

REPORT TO: Prof. Bhuputra Panda, Professor and PI and Dr N Krishna Reddy, Director of AQH.
