ACCESS Health International’s South Asia Regional Director, Dr Krishna Reddy Nallamalla, its Deputy Country Director (Technical), Mr Maulik Chokshi, and its Director of Communications, Relations, and Partnerships, Dr. Uma Aysola have been empanelled as honorary guest faculty at the University of Hyderabad’s School of Medical Sciences and School of Management Studies. The empanelment comes under the MoU signed between the two organizations last year.

In a significant boost to its capacity building initiatives, ACCESS Health International onboarded the prestigious University of Hyderabad in April 2022 in a strategic, institutional partnership for three years towards academic exchange, research collaboration, and policy advocacy in the areas of public health and healthcare management.

The University of Hyderabad and ACCESS Health International, India Country Office entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding towards capacity building, collaborative research projects and internships, academics and research in actuarial sciences, digital initiatives, and big data analytics in the area of healthcare.

The areas of work that have been identified in the MoU include:

  • Academic areas – Capacity building within study programs across schools/centres in the university.
  • Projects – Collaborative research projects and internships at AHI for students as part of the mandatory programs.
  • New initiatives – Academics and Research in actuarial sciences, digital initiatives and big data analytics in the area of health care.
