The inaugural Asia-Pacific Heart Summit 2024 is set to tackle the monumental impact of CVD by fostering collective action, sharing best practices, and facilitating mutual learning. Healthcare professionals, policymakers, and leading experts across the Asia-Pacific region will participate in two days of insightful sessions, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities.
Key topics to be addressed at the summit include the sufficiency of national CVD policies, the importance of addressing heart failure in health systems, sustainable financing for CVD control, and strategies for preventing key risk factors for CVD. The event will also spotlight approaches from countries like Japan, China, and Korea, including Japan’s CVD control policy and China’s approach to equitable CVD prevention, diagnosis, and care.
Prominent speakers will come from the Central Chest Institute of Thailand, the Heart Association of Thailand, the World Heart Federation, and Hearts 4 Heart in Australia, among others. Experts from Jichi Medical University and Heart Valve Voice in Japan, as well as representatives from the Centre for Indonesia’s Strategic Development Initiatives, will also contribute their knowledge and perspectives.
