Bhavani is an early-career public health professional currently serving as a Program Associate for the SPH-Participatory Action Research (PAR) project in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, where she focuses on strengthening primary healthcare services for tribal and rural communities.
Previously, she worked as a Research Associate on the BTB project at Sambodhi, contributing to qualitative research on tuberculosis-related stigma. She also played a key role in a research study at Nilofer Hospital, examining breastfeeding challenges among children with tongue-tie.
Bhavani holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Hyderabad and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition. She has hands-on experience in qualitative research methodologies, including conducting focus group discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews.
Her areas of interest include tribal health, maternal and child health, community nutrition, and health communication, particularly in underserved settings.
Outside of work, Bhavani enjoys traveling and exploring spiritual places.
