OUR WORK
Payer Systems
Healthcare systems worldwide rely on two key components: Payer and Provider systems. The Payer system is responsible for financing healthcare services, which can take several forms, such as Public Health Insurance, Social Health Insurance, Community-Based Health Insurance, and Private Health Insurance. These models are designed to spread the cost of healthcare across a large group of people, allowing for more equitable access to services. However, in many countries, including India, out-of-pocket payments for healthcare remain a significant barrier.
At InOrder, we focus on strengthening these payer systems through a combination of research, capacity building, and technical support. Our efforts aim to optimize financing structures and ensure they are sustainable, equitable, and accessible. We also work to empower individuals by providing them with the information they need to navigate the often complex landscape of healthcare financing, helping them make informed decisions about their health and financial well-being.
