Telangana State is continuing the legacy of the undivided State of Andhra Pradesh that pioneered many innovative health reforms such as the Arogyashree, Dial108 and dial 104 among others. It initiated programs like ‘Basti Davakhana’ and ‘Telangana Diagnostics’ to improve access to essential primary healthcare services for poor people living in cities and towns. The Covid-19 pandemic exposed gaps in health systems across the world. Telangana State is keen to strengthen its health system to improve access, affordability and quality of healthcare to its people.
InOrder, in partnership with its associates ACCESS Health International and Health Care Services group, is providing technical support to the various health systems strengthening initiatives of the Telangana State, through a systems-approach. These include district leadership development program, transitioning to standards-based interoperable electronic health records, strengthening intensive care services in districts and towns through e-ICU concept, integration of primary healthcare with hospital-based care, and quality improvement programs. The impact of these initiatives will be monitored through a structured performance assessment framework.
