Dr. Shrikant Kalaskar

Dr. Shrikant is a Public Health Professional and a trained epidemiologist with 11+ years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing public health research and health programs. He is currently leading Public Health and Capacity Building initiatives in ACCESS Health International. He is currently directing multiple projects focusing on areas of participatory action research, health literacy, disease surveillance, health systems strengthening, community engagement, AI assessment studies, etc. For InOrder, Shrikant supports the VCF-Tata Trusts project. He has also taken initiatives in starting various capacity-building programs. He holds a master’s degree in public health (MPH) in Social Epidemiology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) with UGC-NET qualification. He also holds certifications from universities like Cornell University and Harvard university on nutrition and data analysis. Dr. Shrikant worked with national and international organizations in Public Health. Some of his highlighted works are on ‘National Burden Estimates of Healthy Life Lost in India’ in his stint with ICMR headquarters and CGHR Canada; on building capacities of the public health systems in India under the ‘Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA)’ with NIHFW in collaboration with CDC, Atlanta. He has implemented and demonstrated an innovative model for ‘Comprehensive Elderly Care Program’ in three states of India with Tata Trusts and state public health departments. He loves to dedicate his free time to his family and friends.
